The 2026 Expo brought together participants from across Illinois — higher education, tech industry, community organizations, and philanthropy —all of them as active collaborators in a shared ecosystem.

Twenty-five students from eight universities formed teams around real institutional challenges — not case studies, not simulations. Each team worked for months alongside industry and community mentors before presenting before a panel of judges at the Expo.
Each team at the GANAS Tech Expo was matched with a real organization facing a real challenge. What they built over months of collaboration — and presented live at Roosevelt University — is a preview of what Illinois’ next generation of tech talent can do.
